Creating a Space for Everyone to Enjoy....

As Goddess Retreats is a group trip, you will be exposed to all the pleasures... and maybe some of the frustrations of traveling in a group.

Your fellow goddesses will come from all corners of the world and include a range of age groups too. We ask you to be understanding of the various needs and preferences of your group - patience with your fellow goddesses is sometimes required for the benefit of everyone's travel experience.

Do as much or as little as you want...

You are free to go with the flow and there are no 'shoulds' on your retreat. You are welcome to participate in whatever you choose with the understanding that while we do our best to accommodate everyone as an individual, our general itinerary throughout the retreat has been refined over years of experience to provide the best flow for the group as a whole.

Your Goddess Retreat program has a balanced plan with plenty of planned activities along with unstructured personal time to relax.

Our retreat leaders are always on hand to help organise any additional activities you may want to experience during your time in Bali. Please just note that if they overlap with scheduled retreat activities, we are unable to change the set retreat program to accomodate individual choices. If know that you may wish to add activities to your week, we recommend that you let us know prior to your arrival as most practitioners and activity providers we partner with do need to be booked in advance.

Our Team Can't Wait to Meet You...

The nature of this trip means that rather than having only one group leader you have a several retreat leaders and guides in their area of expertise, plus professionally qualified instructors and practitioners that make up the Goddess Retreats Team who will be catering to you throughout your stay.

Your Trip Supports the Local Community...

Goddess Retreats permanently employs over 65 local people, and we have also partnered with other Balinese businesses for 20 years to contribute directly to the benefit of the local economy and their families. In addition to your retreat guides, Goddess Retreats works with professional local operators. These local partners have been selected because they offer the highest standard for services in their area of expertise available in Bali and by working closely with these local companies your retreats contributes the local Bali economy as a whole.

Your Trip Supports Shares the Love...

When you come on a Goddess Retreat, you can feel good knowing that your holiday supports many beautiful people and organizations in Bali.

Goddess Retreats donates 10% of profits back into a selection of long-standing and reputable charities, that work tirelessly to protect Balinese nature and animals, take care of and provide brighter futures for children, and give support to underprivileged women and their families.

Also, in early 2020, we started our own  Goddess Kitchen program, where our premises and team were utilised to buy, cook and distribute food and essentials to women and families severely affected by the Covid-19 crisis. We have now partnered with Crisis Kitchen Bali to provide ongoing financial donations and continue the support of those families as we return to full time work on the retreats.

For 2022 we are providing extra help to the big hearted charity Little Steps Matter that tirelessly works on reducing unnecessary suffering and the number of unwanted animals in Bali. You can help us support this charity by bringing along any of the items from their wish list (Ideally flea & tick, dewormer and other medicines) if you have some spare room in your suitcase. Also you have to opportunity of choosing for your Bliss Day to travel out with Sabine and her team as they feed and provide medicine to the homeless animals. The cost of your bliss day will be donated directly to purchasing the food that you will be giving out on this day. ♡

Also it is used by almost all businesses in Bali, which comes in handy if you plan to be out and about or spend more time in Bali.

What Should I Pack?

We often get asked what should I bring for my retreat? We like to say ... An open mind, a sense of humor and a joyful adventurous heart :)

...but if you want to be  practical, Bali is very hot and humid (consistently 30+ C / 86+ F), so pack light clothes that breathe!

  • Several swim suits
  • (If you are doing Surf Lessons you will be provided with an optional rash guard and surf pants, so no need to buy any specific surf gear)
  • Light comfy clothes - T-Shirts, Shorts & Sundresses - it is always hot to warm in Bali
  • Flip flops & sandals
  • One pair of sturdy sneakers for walking, hiking and cycling
  • Comfy stretchy top and bottoms for yoga
  • Our yoga mats are textured to help grip in tropical weather, if you'd like an extra soft non-slip option we highly recommend packing your own yoga mat towel for any yoga travel as they are easy to pack and take everywhere.
  • One layer of warmer items if you feel cold on airplanes and airports
  • If you plan on doing any of our hikes, biking or walking a light weight wind breaker is handy
  • Sunglasses and hat for sun protection
  • Sunscreen - we do not provide personal sunscreen (except at surf lessons)
  • Insect Repellent - we provide a natural insect repellent around the villas, but if your prone to mosquito bites and need something stronger we recommend you bring your own to suit you needs
  • Electrolytes - The effects of dehydration can really ruin your holiday. It's easy to get dehydrated in the topics due to the daily heat. We love LMNT as an essential part of a travel kit to Bali to balance water along with essential mineral intake.

You can help us support Bali's Little Steps Matter animal charity by bringing along any of the small items from their wish list (they mostly need simple deworming, flea and tick medicines for dogs) if you have some spare room in your suitcase. We will be happy to pass them on along to Sabine and her loving team.

What Can I Buy?

There is a mind boggling amount of things to buy in Bali! Everything is very affordable and it’s easy to find fantastic bargains.

Even if you’re not a ‘shopper’ you will be tempted here! When packing keep in mind that you can buy everything very cheaply …so pack half of what you think you will need and leave some space in your bag for the trip home!

How much money should I bring to Bali?

As this is mostly an all-inclusive retreat, the only things you will need to pay for are personal incidentals, shopping, tips and the 2 meals that are not included in the retreat package (to allow you to explore the fabulous restaurants nearby).

Cash is still widely used in Bali especially in markets, smaller shops and cafes. If you wish to go shopping during your stay in Bali, there are many ATMs and money changers nearby which our guides are happy to help you access. Plus, most larger shops and restaurants have credit card facilities.

Can I bring alcohol on my retreat?

Most of our guests enjoy the retreat to explore the great health benefits of taking a break from alcohol as part of their commitment to wellness. For the comfort of all our guests, we prefer if our guests do not consume alcohol while on the retreat premises. We believe all things are great in moderation, and if you wish to enjoy a few drinks while out and about in Bali, we respect your personal choice.

What you don't need...

We recommend you leave your valuable jewellery at home - you won't need it while traveling and participating in active sports. At the villa there is a safety deposit box in your room where we recommend you store your valuables like your passport, money etc.

Extra Time In Bali

Many of our guests enjoy spending extra time in Bali and we are always happy to assist you with suggestions for Pre or Post Retreat arrangements. You can simply send us an email with any information you need.

Enjoy your preparations for a holiday of a life time and we look forward to welcoming your soon!
